How is THAT supposed to happen?

A website downloaded a file to my hard drive that accessed my SYSTEM.DAT
file. It added a command line >sysregedit -s sysdllwm.reg< that reset my
home and search page each time I restarted windows. I have ALL the latest
security updates.

I would also appreciate some advice on how to delete this line from my .DAT
file

Update - regedit got rid of the command line. But it should not have been
there.

SPYWARE......

DL a utility to remove spyware form your machine

Look for a program on the web called "HijackThis" to remove these browser
hijackers. This sort of problem is becoming more frequent.
