In Win XP, is there a way to read (typeface) fonts that have not been

By "read" do you mean look at the typeface to see what it looks like beforeJack said:In Win XP, is there a way to read (typeface) fonts that have not been

I don't know if a version that old has the font viewing capability. I'mJack said:John,
I have ACDsee v. 3.1, which is a freebie that came with a camera or another
program -- but how do you get it to view fonts? I don't even see a Text
tool.
Thanks,
Jack

By "read" do you mean look at the typeface to see what it looks like before
you install it? On my system the program ACDSee is the default for looking
at uninstalled fonts but if you don't have something similar you may want
to search for a free utility to do the job. One example would be AMP Font
Viewer http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/ I have not used it but it has been
around for a long time so I expect that it is safe and usable.
