Can anyone answer these questions:

1) Does Windows XP home include any software that can
compress 2 minutes of video ( from a DV camcorder ) so I
can e-mail it ?

2) How do I record music from an external source (
cassette deck, turntable, etc. ) onto the hard drive ?
Can I use WMP ?

3) How can I use winzip.com to compress short videos ?

Answer to question #2:
I use MusicMatch Jukebox for ripping from vinyl and cassette. Have a look
at this:

For question 1, the software you use to do the video capture should have
compression options.

If you need help with the video capture portion, try googling "video
capture".
