a squared License Experation Date

I downloaded a squared about 3 weeks ago. I have personal version 1.6.5.
Why is the license going to expire on a free program on May 10, 2006? It
seems like it should never expire if the program is truely free.

Hmmmm...I've had it for about a year now. My expiration is 1-01-3000
with a smiley face after 3000. Are you sure you didn't misread it?

Well, some freeware programs have an expiration date where you have to
re-register.

For example, Avast! 4 Home edition (Virus detector. Free for
non-commerical use) has a expiration date. The program registration key
expiresd after 1 year & you have to re-register to get another
registration key so some freeware programs which require registration
do have expiration dates.

There are 2 a-squared programs; the personal edition (39.95 but you can
download a trial version) and the free version (fewer features). The pay
version runs in the background; the free only scans. Like the other
posters, my free version (1.65) expires Jan 3000.

I think I downloaded the personal version and not the free.
