A Slipstreaming question

I want to make a slipstrteamed, bootable CD for a machine that came
with manufacturer's recovery CD but no XP distro disk. The machine has
3 years of patches on it.

Bart-PE seems to require the original XP disk and this is a
show-stopper for me.

I think I can recover the i386 distro folder from the manufacturer's
CD. Does this do me any good?

Suggestions?

Slipstreaming only works with a conventional Windows XP CD
and not a computer manufacturer's customized recovery CD.
