a slightly different "local only" problem

I've seen the tons of other posts about this problem but none of the
solutions posted there seem to fix my problem. My vista comp can't connect
to my home wireless network anymore (it was fine 2 weeks ago!), but my
roommates virtually indentical vista comp can. I get a couple wierd
errors...first, it can find and connect to my network, but then calls it an
"unidentified network". Second, the same ol local only, no internet problem.
If I disable IPv6, set a static IP address etc, it fixes the unidientified
network problem, but is still local only. I doubt the problem is my linksys
router, as both my vista computer 2 weeks ago, and my roomies vista comp can
connect fine. I tried all of this in safe mode, in case the problem was
norton, and still local only. Any suggestions?

Thanks for helping... Done the updates, reinstalled the network card driver,
and tried some of the things in your link (I dont know how to "use Mac
filter", and I'm hesitant to switch to WEP because my DVR can only do WPA and
I dont have any way other than wireless to connect it). It turns out not
only does it not work on our wireless network, it also is local only on our
wired ethernet, and on the wireless network at our school.... I'm not really
very knowledgeable about this networking stuff at all---

If you have latest driver and wireless and wired don't work. Another
solution is remove the IPv6 completely.
