When you patch up your win2000 server, there are some files that appeard in
c:\winnt\$NTUninstallKB824105$

I have a bit of short space on my c: drive. This files are just there in
case i want to uninstall a patch right? :)

Yes they're just there to uninstall the hotfix if you need to, they probably
dont take up to much space anyway and if you are running out of space on C:
you should probably look at what else you have installed there. My guess is
that your program files folder has probably got stuuf loike office installed
etc, since most things (big and small) target C:\Program Files\... as a
defaul install directory. Disks (IDE anyway) are cheap and if you have space
on other partitions/disks you can lok at doing a few things:

1. Buy a larger disk.
2. uninstall and reinstall applications onto another disk/partition (note
that some files will still get installed onto C: (noteably dlls and system
related files).
3: buy Partition Magic (Powerquest (now probably Symantec)) and expand your
C: partition into available disk space).

We used to use a standard 2GB for the OS and office etc on C:, We've now
started rolling out 4GB C: partitions and putting larger apps (developement
environments, office etc) onto D: which is considerably larger still.

PM is cheap, useful and scarily dangerous if you do silly things with it.

Just don't use PM in the GUI and you'll be a much happier camper.
