I am sure that this question has been asked many times but I don't know if
there is an answer that I want to hear:

"Is there a simple utility that can back-up all of my OE & IE settings that
can be restored just as easily as backing-up?"

This includes my account settings, inbox, messages rules etc.

Thanks for your attention and any help you can give.

The only 'simple' method without buying another application is built into Windows.

It is known as Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. Not only will it 'back-up' OE and IE it backs up all your personally created files regardless of the application.

If you run this, it will create a 'file' that can be imported in the future. You can copy this to CD after it has been created or create it on a partition or other hard drive.

Should you have to do a clean install of Windows XP run the Wizard after installation is completed and everything will be as it is now. You will of course need to install any other applcations, such as Office.
