A quick question about forwarding contacts

Why is it that when I forward a contact as a msg (using right-click on
contact and forward) that it is not there when I open up the test e-mail on
hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail. etc. If I use the Action menu and choose the
Forward as vcf file it comes through normally. Using Outlook 2003 on XP with
sp3 with an Exchange 2003 sp3 server.

Sorry if this is in the wrong group and I can't find anything on this on the
web or on any of the web mail help/assistance pages either. Anyone know
exactly why its not there when it gets to my account on the web mail service?
I have confirmed that the attachments are there in my Sent Items and this
happens on multiple pc's to multiple web mail accounts so it has to be setup
to filter it out for some reason.

Outlook's default message format is Rich Text and only another Outlook client
can interpret that format. One of the effects this has is that the remote
client can't decode the attachment. Perhaps that's what's at work here.

Shrikant,

I'm sorry but I don't understand your answer. I need something in layman's
terms that I can share with my manager and a user that is experiencing this.

Thanks,

Jon

I agree with the binary statement, but the real answer lies in 6.5
Transulation Encodings.

It is all pretty straight forward. Good luck :).
