A Question About Windows Explorer

Gary

I have multiple disks. When I open Windows Explorer, I get the disks
showing on the left in tree form, and a file listing on the right. I
almost invariably want to go to the folder D:\BBD on the left, so I
click on the + sign before the D: and the tree opens up. That all
seems proper. But when I click on the word BBD, wanting to get the
file list on the right, the tree on the left also opens up, showing
all the folders in BBD.

Is there some way I can just get the D:\BBD file list on the right
with the tree on the left pointing at D:\BBD, but without the tree on
the left opening up to show all the folders under D:\BBD?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're aiming for but
you might want to try the following:

Go to Control Panel and double click Folder Options.
Click on the View tab.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "Display simple
folder view in Explorer's folder list".
Click OK.
You may have to log off or reboot for the changes to take
effect.

Good luck
