I just upgraded to Office 2003, and everytime ActiveSync
runs to synch my Pocket PC I get this message:
"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have
stored in
outlook. Do you want to allow this?"

I understand that a security patch caused this, but how
can I stop this from happening? I get one pop-up per
change, which means I get a handful at a time, every time
I make changes.

Thanks,
Dawn

It started while I was still using AS 3.5, I just upgraded to 3.8 but its
still happening. I sw your other post about Adobe - but I don't have the
registry key mentioned.

Also, I do NOT use Word as my default email editor.

HELP!!! This is crippling as I completely depend on my PPC!!

thanks Sue et. al.,

Mark

I saw another post from someone who said they had Acrobat installed but
didn't have the LoadBehavior key. So they added it and set it and it solved
the problem.

On further testing, this did NOT solve the problem.

For me, this started "suddenly", NOT after I had loaded SP2 - I did that a
while ago. NO software has been loaded/changed that I am aware of in the 24
hours before this started happening.

What DID allow me to continue was to stop syncing the INBOX on my PDA -
handy function that, in the several years I have had one, I have actually not
often used...

BUT, I have no explanation as to why this started happening - I've been
inbox syncing since Windows ME several PC's ago... and I had loaded SP2 a
couple weeks ago... ?? Would be nice to re-enable the INBOX as I might now,
finally, have some use for that feature...

thanks Sue,
Mark

Well, there is always the possibility that a virus got into your system.
