A powerpoint file scanned for viruses is not being opened. It says' Can't
read file' But the same file is viewable in other computers.
 
Turn off your virus scanner and see if that make a difference. Also, if you
do not have your file extensions turned on, turn them on just in case your
virus program changed the extension form .PPS or .PPT to some other
extension.

If you have PPT 2003, use Help, Check for Updates to bring your copy up to the
most revision of PPT. That will often solve problems like this.
