A news filtering program to help Windows Mail?

Anyone know of a newsgroups posts filtering program that will sit between
Windows Mail and the newsgroups servers?

I've seen Hamster and leafnode suggested elsewhere, but I haven't been
able to find any sign that either of them has a version that will run under
Vista.

I want to filter out, for example, spammers who post through Google
Groups and keep changing their return addresses but still reach Google
Groups through the same IP address. There are some other people
who post through Google Groups who I don't want to filter out.
