That's like some BMW would file a lawsuit against michelin since they also
make tyres which fit on BMW, while they originally use goodyear...
Will they also file a lawsuit against paper companies since they make paper
which fits into their printers?
Ink is consumable material. As paper. as simple as that. They even don't
have legal support for saying that "using non-epson ink will void a
warranty", while this is total bullshit.

Even if they do win, they will close down in a few months, since no-one will
then buy Epson printers. Always there will be companies which will allow
such ink as a reason that printers will sell. Even if we do believe that
they have no profit by selling printers, only ink, we do know that this is
bullshit. They don't make 100 units, but 100 millions...it's just...they
also have a profit (bigger) from selling ink. Well, it's just bussiness. If
they lower prices, people will buy epson ink. As simple as that.

BUT THEY ARE EITHER WINNING ALL OF THE LAWSUITS OR THE RELABELERS ARE
SETTLING OUT OF COURT.

MOST PEOPLE USE THE INK THAT THE PRINTER IS DESIGNED TO TAKE TO YOU
POINT IS NOT VALID.

NOT ME. I WILL BUY CANON INK FOR MY CANON PRINTER AND HP INK FOR MY HP
PRINTER.

HIS CAR WAS DESIGNED TO RUN ON A TYPE OF FUEL NOT A SPECIFIC BRAND BUT
EPSON PRINTERS ARE DESIGNED TO USE EPSON INK.

BULLSHIT!!!
they are designed to run on ink.Either pigmented or dye one. That's it.
Similar like a car is designed to run on petrol. Not Shell or Agip petrol
but petrol, not diesel. as simple as that.

EPSON DESIGNED IT AND
THAT IS WHAT THEY SAY. I AM SURE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DESIGNED.
another bullshit. Epson didn't design ink It has other producer who makes
ink for Epson. And it makes it "only for Epson" while it sells same ink in
free market under another name. It's like when buying wiper for Renault
original, you get Valeo and it's original Renault. And it costs 100 units,
say. But, when you go into car parts store, you get SAME Valeo wiper for 20
units. Not similar, but SAME, just in different package. Same is with ink.
It's just too hard for you to understand or admit this. But, if you have
money, i guess i don't see the reason why not to waste it...

Hope this is not the way Canon will go with its new chipped
cartridges.

This new chipped cart can be refilled and when put back in, software warns
you about it and offers options to replace cart, or to use it as is -
refilled

DO NOT CONFUSE THE ENGINEERING, FORMULATION AND DESIGN WITH THE MFG TO
SPECIFICATIONS.

SURE AND THEY RISK LOSING THE EPSON CONTRACT, LAWSUIES AND PATENT
VIOLATIONS SO THEY CAN SELL (RELATIVE) A FEW DROPS OF INK TO THE IDIOTS
IN THIS NG. NOW THAT IS COWSHIT

There are reputable 3rd-party vendors that
have been selling Epson-compatible carts
for years: MIS, Lyson, Mediastreet,

LYSON IS A MFG FORMULATOR. THE REST ARE JUST RELABELERS WHO WILL NOT
TELL YOU WHAT THEY ARE SELLING

When people request help in un-clogging their printers why is i
assumed the problem is third party inks

When blame can be pointed towards-: The user, the ink and th
reliability factor

But yet-
When I have had experience of Epsons clogging on the 2nd day and
replacement clogging on the 4th day with OEM ink this was assumed t
be a bad batch of printers

Let Epson bring law suites, let them overcharge for their inks, thi
sure ain't stoppin' the problem

Thank God I bought a Canon...at least I can print without having t
check for flaws and I don't get clogged, ...."Never get Clogge
with an Epson, cos it can be expensive"

I can't argue this. I find Epson's latest projectionist approaches to
be unconscionable. They first develop cartridges with unique features
which are mainly for their own advantage to try to limit the purchase of
third party product, and to avoid refilling, and then they go and sue
companies that figure out ways to get around them.

Personally, it would give me great pause about buying a new Epson printer.
