A line appears in text when printing that isn't in the document

In a word document, a line appears in my document when it's printed. It does
not show up in the document on my screen. I've tried everything to find it,
but it's just there. It's not a printer line, it looks like a strikethrough
or an underline.

Try pressing SHIFT and the F1 key --- that's to show the formatting of the
document by section, page, table cell, etc. The pane will show up to the
right of your screen. It may display a table cell border line or a paragraph
border line. When you click on the formatting the hyperlink will take you to
the correct window to change or delete that particular formatting. I assume
it's a horizontal line, not a vertical line (which might be coming from Track
Changes).
