A good non-free commercial anti-virus anti-malware program is?

My guess, as the list changes every week or quarter or year, is to follow the money which can hire the best talent, and that would be Norton, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, the last being mentioned only because of its popularity. Probably Norton is the 'best' though I notice in years past all offerings will miss certain rootkits (different ones miss different rootkits and viruses)

All my PCs have free versions but I'm thinking perhaps I should spend a bitof money and get a non-free version, which presumably has 10% to 20% improvement over the free version. It's only about $50 a year which is not thatmuch if you have a job.

Would be nice if you'd fix your client. Mine is having to fix for you when
I reply...

Malwarebytes shouldn't be included in an antivirus question. It isn't
antivirus. It's antimalware.

Google can answer most of the questions you've presented lately, which is
not that much - if you aren't a technological ****ing idiot.

You not very coherent are you, Dustbin? Been drinking again?

Only thing wrong is to get caught...too many people think...is that you? Projection? Feel guilty for releasing all those viruses in the wild, when "nobody's looking"? Feel bad that perhaps somebody on a life support systemdied because their PC crashed due to your viruses? Has happened. But knowing you it's probably a criminal's 'badge of honor' to have killed somebody due to your virus writing. Slimeball. You're one reason this forum is not as read anymore...posts have been going down ever since you infested this place.

Is english not your first language Ray? Re-reading it, still makes
sense...

Hmm.. Can you cite, say, even one place where a computer virus has
killed somebody on a life support machine? I've heard the myth, but
never seen any actual proof. You got something to share, Ray? I'd be
most interested in reading it.

Ray.. Get a grip, take some slow deep breaths and relax.... I'm but one
of many virus writers of yesterday. I didn't kill anybody with any of my
code. Ruined some homework, but.. no life lost. :)

<snip>

I live in the somewhat redistricted Oklahoma Fourth Congressional
District which J.C. so well represented when he was in Congress.
Congressman Watts acted like he believed in this, as we all should.
Somebody is watching. For J.C. it was generally somebody up above.

I have. Don't remember the cite but it related to a power failure caused by a crash of a PC.

Good to see your conscience is gnawing on your soul. Shows at least you have one and maybe there's hope for you after all.

What are you posting with that doesn't do word wrap?
Dustin mentioned that too, but you conveniently omitted that part.

I am using a web browser via Google Groups. Some kind of problem recently with Google Groups omits the word wrap I've read.

I'm not up on all the medical systems. I didn't know life support machines
ran windows... Or dos for that matter. I think your recalling a myth that
was once highly propogated in the 80s...

Unless you have something to cite? Reference?

I hope you fared well in the past storms James.

We had one small tornado within five miles. The much more severe F3 hit
well away from us in Woodward County. Life in Tornado Alley can be
exciting, but we all understand the dangers. Thank for your concern.
