A file with name ~

I receive after connect to the internet a file with name ~ (tilde) 172 kb on
the desktop (directory). Is this a virus? My virus scanner doesn't alert.

No.....it is a glitch in an MS patch......all it contains is a backup of
your address book. You may find one in C:\Windows as well. It is nothing
to worry about. If you rename the extension to .wab, you will see that is
all it is.......

It usually appears after you have added a new name or changed any details in
your address book.
