First of all, a question on programmes to show photos and images, I
currently have a paid for version of Picasa and am also using a trial
version of ACDSee. I am trying ACCSee because I noticed it can rotate
pictures without losing data and degrading the picture. I am not sure if
Picasa can do that. So can I ask, which is the better programme.
Also, how do you insure that every time you clink on a link or web page
that it opens in the expanded form and not in the diminished mode. I
have forgotten how to achieve this and would appreciate the way to do
it.

Hi Derrick,

As per the latter:

Stretch out the window using the double arrows, then use File/Close.

What a prompt reply Kelly, thank you so much, it was driving me mad and
I had seen the solution a few years ago but could not remember it, all
my thanks.

I have a fairly old ACDSee - but what I use most of the time is Irfan
view - www.irfanview.com - which has the great merit too of being free,
and is remarkably capable.

If I want manipulation beyond what that will do (and it does a lot) I
use PaintShop Pro
