Karen,
Just a quick note to let you know, I've implemented and enabled
the feature you requested. Please let me know if it is what you meant.
(you'll find it listed under the Edit and right click menu entitled
"Paste as HTML").

I've now launched my browser, and the new Mercury.

I have web pages open in the browser that are like most of them, these days.
Lots of tables and scripts and graphics surrounding the content. I am
interested in the articles themselves that are in these pages, and want
to be able to read them without all the clutter. Also to save the article
contents, with its formatting and links intact.

- I select the article text from the browser page...
- I drop it into Mercury via the "Paste as HTML" command...
- I choose Mercury's Browser Preview View...
- And Wow! Nice clean article to read, instantly transformed!

Next I decide to save this clean article...

- Mercury had already auto-inserted the default tags <html><head> etc.,
- So there's nothing I got to do, just choose a file name, and...
- Viola/Violin/Voila!! Parfait. =)

Great Stuff! You fulfilled a central need, one that a decent number of us
have -- about viewing and saving the parts of web pages that we want.

If others get lucky enough to find your solution, they'll be as fortunate
as I am. Steven, this makes me a very happy girl! Thank you!!

Karen,
When I saw your reply (before I read it), I was expecting
something like "it's not what I meant at all" (I'm sometimes a little
paranoid like that).

Glad you like it ). One of the main problems I have when building
software is, knowing what to include in it. So it is a major help when
people like yourself are able to suggest features ;o)
