A bug in link/import from CSV text file ?

Hello,

I have been used a link to CSV file in my aplications since Access 97 (and
later also 2000, 2002 and 2003) and I didn't have any problems with the
data.

Now I'm using Access 2007 (12.0.4518.1014) MSO (12.0.6017.5000) and today I
found out that I get a #Num! error in the fields where it should be a
single or a double numerical values !?

In my case the parameters for the Link Specification are as follow:

File Format: Delimited
Field Delimiter: ; (semicolon)
Text Qualifier: {none}
Language: Slovenian
Code Page: Central Europe (DOS) or Central Europe (Windows)
Date Order: DMY
Four Digit Years: Yes
Date Delimiter: . (period)
Time Delimiter: : (colon)
Decimal Symbol: , (comma)

I tested different combinations: I changed also Decimal Symbol from
semicolon to period (and also the data in the test file adequately) but I
got always the same error. Only in the case of integer values, when the
numerical values in the fields didn't have any decimal symbol, I got the
numerical values from the file.

Is that a bug?

Hello,

to brighten the case a litle bit. Last time I used double numerical values
in the linked CSV files with an access aplication was a month ago and I used
then also Access 2007 but on the 2003-mdb database. As I was satisfied with
the Access 2007 I made then also a convesion from 2003-mdb database to
2007-accdb database. So today I experienced the #Num! error for the first
time. As I still have the old archived mdb file I tried to get the numerical
values form CSV file with help of that old one but the result is the same:
#Num! error, what suggests me that with my Access conversion or with an
another update after the conversion an update to the ISAM text driver vas
made?
