a ? about passwords

I have a question about xp home..... If I have a password to log into windows can someone hack in and launch windows without the password?

Easy if they have access to any profile.
Many forget to password the default Administrator.
Also, if they get physical access, any security can be broken.

So If I have apsswords for all users I should be ok?

If you place good passwords on all profiles, NTFS File System, you are
reasonably secure as long as your computer is properly protected:

You also need to control physical access and use common sense.
