9700pro 3D Mark 2003 - what's the score

J

Jaanus Vann

Hello everybody,

Can you give me any idea what should my 3D mark be.
The system:

P3.0GhZ HT 800 FSB,
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe,
2x 512MB Corsair PC3200 XMS C2,
Gigabyte Radeon 9700 pro.

I tested it and it gave me 5113, could I get a bit more out of it? And if so
then what should I do?

Thank you all.

Epox 8RDA3+ (224 FSB - 2.0v)
XP1700 DUT3C (9.5 - 2128 MHz stable = XP2600 - 1.775v)
2 x OCZ 256MB PC3700 (448 - 8-3-3 / 2.0 dual - 2.9v)
Gigabyte Radeon 9700 Pro (372 / 352 - 1.5v)
Air - 37/57C

3DMk03 - 5,617
3DMk01 - 16,590

You should get near 7K and 20K with that set-up.

With your setup, the video card is going to be the controlling factor in
your benchmark scores. For a stock 9700 pro, 5113 is pretty good.

A little overclocking could give you higher scores, but what you're running
is good enough for any existing games.

With a stock 9700 Pro? I don't think so. 5 and 15 is more like it.

Should have added 'if he overclocks' it.
Don't forget 3DMk tests system processing power too.

you keep saying that. what on earth ore you basing your estimates on?
fantasy or delusions?

read around! 7k on an overclocked 9700pro in an overclocked P4C is not even
possible! End of discussion!

I have seen a couple of overclocked 9800's getting into the mid 6k but
that's about it. I think I saw ONE break 7k with a water cooled P4c at
nearly 300Mhz FSB (1200Mhz effective) and a modified, water-cooled 9800 at
close to 450Mhz. That's extreme and rare.

5500 score in 3DM03 is very high for the present, if you can break 6000,
your on the cutting edge. ****ing 5900ultras aren't doing that either.

post your 5617 score from Furture Mark, I'd like to see it.

What am I doing wrong? The best I can get out of my 9700Pro in 3DMark2001 is 12,271.

Via P4PB 400 motherboard
2.66 P4
133MHz bus
512 SDRAM
9700Pro Omega 2.5.99 drivers
latest 4in1's
DirectX9.0a

Nothing overclocked.

Well,

Perhaps people who say that mid5k shouldn't be any problem for my spec could
you say how to get there.
(let me repeat):
P3.0GhZ HT 800 FSB,
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe,
2x 512MB Corsair PC3200 XMS C2,
Gigabyte Radeon 9700 pro.

I must say that at the moment I'am unable to get more that 5132 in the 3D
mark 2003. Those who have the same card and system spec
and get more in the 3D mark, can u give me any advice what can I do to
improve, though I'm very confident that it does a very good
job in any game out there.

I really appreciate that you post your supreme 3D marks, but I'm more keen
to get some advice how to improve my very own Radeon 9700pro 3D Mark 2003
score.

It's not valid due to "CPU inconsistency".
'Check the URL' because it's not on the 'comparable' database.
If I could post a 1.4MB zipped BMP screenshot file on my BT news server, I
would.
If you can think of a way to do this, let me know.
Meantime, you'll have to take my word for it.

I always bench at full quality, otherwise its BS.
Exactly. I actually score about 5011 on the defaults, but you get
these braggart score pumpers in here and the bullshit factor goes
skyhigh. Especially when they can't seem to post a compare
link...makes you go hmmmm.
Or it's an <cough> excel spreadsheet. Lol...
