97 issue with 2000???

There are 2 computers on my network that still use office 97

When I add a contact on a computer using office 2000 the office 97
computer cannot open that contact.

any thoughts?
 
What happens when the Outlook 97 user tries to open the contact? Is the
contact in an Exchange public folder? If not, where is it?
