is it possible to play all the games that are out till today on radeon 9600
(non pro) in 1024x768 with gooh fps, or should i buy a 9800 (non pro). how
much is 9600 realy faster than geforce4 ti4200 64mb (290/600) because I have
ti4200 and all i can say for this card is that it is a real piece of crap.
all newer games like chrome, moh: breathrou,... are not working very good in
1024x768 without AA. the rest of the computer is abit kr7a-raid (kt266a),
512 mb corsair cas2, athlon t-bred b 1700+@2400mhz, 2x maxtor 40gb raid0.
thanks.

Doubt there are any performance benefits of extra ram but it doesn't hurt.
If you can get a 128 MB Pro though at the same or lower price as a vanilla
256MB then that would certainly be better...

There are plenty of reviews around to compare specifics. www.digit-life does
detailed rundowns on various models running head-to-head.

In general, the 9600 non-pro is going to be only marginally faster than a
Ti4200 until you turn on AA and AF, then it will leave it behind.

In your case, I'd pay the extra bucks for a 9800 non-pro (avoid the crippled
SE) and overclock it to Pro speeds. You will definitely notice a difference
then ;>)
