I just wanted to point out to Richard that his opinion is just one of
many. Satisfaction is dependent on what the computer is to be used for.
You and I clearly find XP suits our use better than Vista.

For those that only perform word processing, web browsing and email,
people can live with it. But for all too many who have hardware that is
incompatible, apps that won't perform properly, or apps that flat out
won't run, moving to a new OS is not an option. Purchasing an OS is
cheap in regards to making everything else work.

As long as I can buy motherboards with XP drivers, it will be the OS of
choice to the majority. And with MS extending the sale of XP, they've
realized it's not going to go away any time soon like Vista will when
Win7 is released.

Hello Gerry and All,

My apologies for not replying sooner. Here in Trinidad we suffered a
electrical blackout in my area for about 16. Then I had my normal work
routine and only now able to check things out.

Thank you all for your advice, comments and suggestions, all of which are
duly noted. I googled the problem and did some additional reading but none of
it has been decisive as what I have read here in this forum and I sincerely
thank you all.

Gerry, hereunder please find the shots you requested.

I hope the information I have given is exactly what you requested and I look
forward to your further comments.

Kindly note that I have also read the above and there seems to me to be
nothing wrong with the drive. I also did a full scan and it all showed green
from the legend with no red.

Stan

The Report looks fine.

I would do another surface scan in 7 days time just to be sure.
