I have an Ati All-In-Wonder 8500DV running Windows XP and have a
Soundblaster Live! Value sound card.. I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is a
problem but here's the deal.

When ever I want to watch TV the maximum sound level my tv card will play at
is the same as my system sound level. So to hear the TV I have to turn up
the volume on my speakers. This in turn makes my system sounds LOUD.

Is there any way to adjust the tv volume louder than the system sound
without turning up the speakers?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, turn up the Main volume and Line-In as high as they will go (Line-In is
the TV volume control), and turn down the Wave sounds, until you can just
hear the system noises ok.

Thanks, I tried that and it is definitely much better. But the problem now
is the volume control on the tv application (the one that comes with MMC)
doesn't affect the volume of the tv at all. Any ideas there?

Jeff
