824146 -vs- 823980?

If a computer is patched with KB824146, does it still
need KB823980?

When we deploy a new computer, do we first need to apply
823980, and then 824146 afterwards, or is 824146 enough?

OS's = Win2k SP2, SP3 & WinXP SP1

Hi,

824146 includes the fixes that were in 823980. You just
need to install 824146.

I have a related question. Could there be a problem if
KB823980 is installed after KB824146? That is, does
installing KB823980 after KB824146 "undo" anything?

Yep, you could have a problem, because 824146 has some files that are the
same in 823980.
Check with Windows Update or hfnetchk from www.shavlik.com to make sure the
computers are fully patched.
