64 bit to 32 bit help

I noticed that if you have a 32 bit vista you can order a 64 bit dvd, was
just wondering 2 things, is this the same price as buy a 64 bit version in
the stores or is it a reduced offer. Also do they do this the other way
round? My problem is I have 64 bit version but would like to also have a 32
bit version, just wondering if I should just buy a 32 bit vista in stores or
maybe they have an offer for people that already own a copy, thanks for any
help.

With a single license you can install *either* 32 bit Vista OR 64 bit Vista.
You can not install them both on separate computers, or even on separate
partitions in the same computer. For that you will need two licenses (two
different install keys).

In that case I'm wondering if its possible to stop activation of my current
vista (its telling me I have 2 days left until auto activation) If I can stop
it I'm sure the store I bought it from will exchange it for the 32 bit
version.

Just don't use it. Then it won't activate!!

If you have not yet activated the 32 bit install, just boot from the Vista
64 bit DVD and perform a clean install. Remove the check from the option to
activate automatically. That way you will get 30 days to setup your computer
before you have to activate. If you decide you don't really want/need 64 bit
Vista (a likely conclusion on your part) you can reinstall 32 bit Vista
again.

When the operating system you decide upon is as you like it - activate.
