6.0 messenger

Whenever I log onto the internet my messenger is
automatically launched, followed by the message that I
was logged out off due to being logged on at another
location. I think I currently have 4.7 and 6.0 on my
computer, is this the problem? Any suggestions as to
what is going on?

That is the problem, although it's by design. What you need to do is stop Windows Messenger
4.7 from loading. To do so, open up the main Windows Messenger window (double-click the
Windows Messenger icon in the notification area/system tray or click Start, All Programs,
Windows Messenger), click the Tools menu, then Options, then Preferences, uncheck 'Run this
program when Windows starts' and click OK. Then right-click on the Windows Messenger icon in
the notification area/system tray, and click Exit.

You should now be able to use MSN Messenger 6 as you wish.
