5.1 speaker problems

Rear speakers use to work, now they don't. I have checked everything with
respect to sound and speakers.
 
If you have already "checked everything with respect to sound and speakers"
I guess you're plain out of luck, right?

Is that a joke? way to be hepful to someone who obviously is in need of some
assistance. how is that at all productive?
 
'Everything' meaning?
In Device Manager, Hardware any yellow exclamation marks?
Does your sounds software have a speaker config? eg its set in 2.1 insted of
5.1
 
The point being: If someone wants help from volunteers who offer their time
and knowledge for free, who do not work for Microsoft and are under no
obligation to answer anybody's question, the very least they can do is to
ask a question with sufficient details that make it possible to answer
intelligently . Am I supposed to know what "checked everything with respect
to sound and speakers" means? Why should I waste my time trying to guess at
solutions that the OP may have already tried?
