4 pages won't publish properly

I've just redesigned and republished my Web site at
www.thePRguy.com. (using great advice from this forum,
thank you very much.) For some reason, four html pages
will not publish properly. They are perfect on the copy
of the site on my hard drive (from which I published the
site)both when viewed in FP and when previewed in
browser. However, as soon as I publish them to
the "live" remote site, these four pages go berserk, in
exactly the same way -- the content, except for a couple
of include pages is all missing, the-multi-column, multi-
row tables in which the content appears become only one
row when I "select table." I've tried copying the entire
contents of and pasting them to each page, doing the same
in "code" view and recreating the tables cell by cell but
I still have this problem and I can't fix it! (Making me
crazy!!) The pages in question are services.htm,
servicesdetail.htm, ec.htm and issues.htm. Any ideas?
I'm doing a huge presentation tomorrow after which I
expect a lot of hits to my site and these four key pages
are ... errr ... messed up. Help!!

if you're ok on your local machine try this:
tools/ recalculate hyperlinks.
file/ publish, then make sure to click the "publish all pages replacing
those on the destination server...." box.
republish the site and see how it is.

THANK YOU, CHRIS!!!!! I posted this while on hold for a
$35 tech support session with MS. Afer more than an hour
on hold, you provided the answer that solved my problem.
Now I have to spend some more time on teh phone with
Micrpsoft getting my (*&!(^*^ refund!

You rock!

PS: Waddya think of my site, if I may ask?

I always come to the ngs ... it's free and mo' betta!

I'm copying and pasting this transaction as a testimonial. ;-)
Really. I am.

Thanks.

Oh,
Your site. It looked nice. It's either a template or some nice work. I
didn't look at the source code or anything. I noticed a couple of ie type
page transitions I didn't like but from what I saw the colors the layout all
looked nice.

But I see a lot of problems with the main part of the page being way over on
the right if you view it with a resolution of more that 800 x 600.... so
maybe that is a table problem. Also, the tool tips (alt. tags for
Credentials, Services, Clients and Contact Us are all the same.
The Writer Guy page lines up correctly. You have no tool tips for the links
on the left for that page.
The text in the right hand blue column is too close to the left edge. This
site needs lots of work before it is consistent enough. You've got an
all-nighter ahead of you, I'm afraid. Good Luck!

I appreciate the crtique. But I'm not sure I know enough
about what you're taliking about pull an all-nighter!
When I'm awake, I'll go through your notes one by one and
see what I can do. Meanwhile, despite recalculating
hyperlinks and republishing, the four pages that I
started this string having a problem with are still all
f&&& up and I can't figure out how to solve them. Any
ideas? www.theprguy.com/services/htm,
servicesdetail.htm, ec.htm and issues.htm. RSVP?

Wait! Before you do it ... can you look at those 4 pages
again? They keep "going bad" despite recalculaing
hyperlinks and republishing! Help!

I'm a newbie. I don't understand ... tell me what you
want me to do and I'll happily do it!

I only see a problem on the Services page...no table content.
Minor problem on Library page...table doesn't collapse properly.
All in all it looks great...nice, clean and consise.

You nailed it! This is precisely the problem I am
having. Services, servicesdetail, issues and EC.htm
aren't publishing properly. They should look gerenerally
like all the other pages but these four are missing
virtualy all of their content and are far to the right of
the browser window, with five vertical columns. Three of
them were created by copying services and working with
the contet so it doesn't surprise me that they share this
problem -- I just don't now what it is! They all work
perfecty on my local hard drive when viewed in FP or
previewed in browser but go bad once published. Someone
else offered the advice to recalucultae hyperinks and
republish the site, which I did. The pages in question
worked momentarily and then mysteriously reverted to this
strange behavior. Any ideas?? I'm doing a big
presentation at noon today and am expecting to drive a
bunch of potential clients to the site, which is why I
was so eager to get it up and running last night.

BTW: I see what you mean about teh tool tips in one of
the include menus. Consider it fixed.

When problems like this occur...don't stress...but DO "check the stupid stuff first" (that's my motto). Look for dupe names, inconsitent spellings, two pages with same file name, etc... you know the little things that make you say "duh" when you find them.

See you found how to get the content up in services.htm up at
http://www.theprguy.com/services.htm
(even though the in this section menu says Issues Communication)
as for the other 2 pages content they are still MIA

PS
remove all spaces from file/folder names - illegal html breaks links
as in: src="images/crisis%20logo%20no%20text.gif"

I see an empty page (4 empty columns) at
http://www.theprguy.com/services.htm
w/ No links to servicesdetail.htm and issues.htm
I see the same empty pages for
http://www.theprguy.com/servicesdetail.htm
and http://www.theprguy.com/issues.htm

Explain how you think you are linking them

First: I will never call Microsoft again! After an
hour's wait last night (so now I have to go to bats to
get my $35 refund) they called me this morning and almost
literally forced me to talk to a technician -- they had
one "immediately available." I ended up, as usual, in
Bombay or Calcutta with a woman whose English was so bad
that I had to spell and explain my domain name 6 times
before she was even able to look at the problem. I'm
tempted to start boycotting tech support that means an
American job was lost. I am sick to death of crappy
support from India.

Anyway... Chris Leeds was kind enough to look at my four
bad files and pronounced them "fatally flawed." The
code, for example, didn't even contain text that I had
clearly put in each page. I ultimately started from
scratch with these four pages and just finished
republishing the last of them.

Thanks to all for your prompy and excellent help. As the
Governor says ... "Ahl be beck."

See you found how to get the content up in services.htm up at
http://www.theprguy.com/services.htm
(even though the in this section menu says Issues Communication)
as for the other 2 pages content they are still MIA

PS
remove all spaces from file/folder names - illegal html breaks links

congratulations on your fix.
My wife doesn't like getting connected to off shore help stuff much either.
credit card, mortgage, student loan you name it.
Sometimes it's best to just stop into the newsgroup. whether the support
person you draw is from Bombay or Brooklyn chances are they don't have a
real love for the process like someone who would be crazy enough to
volunteer their time for free. ;-)
