Hi Everyone,

When I go to System information>software enviroment>start up programs , I
see 4 different desktop.ini start up programs. And I'm the only user of this
computer, and I use my idenity/adminstrator.
Should I have only a desktop.ini for my idenity? If so, how would I remove
the others ?
Thanks.

You don't need any of those desktop.ini files to start when you start
Windows. The desktop.ini file only contains a list of the icons representing
the files in that folder.

They have nothing to do with your identity.

The computer uses all four. The others are "All Users", ".Default", and "NT
Authority\SYSTEM". DO NOT REMOVE ANY.
{ Many programs write to All Users, as opposed to Current User (You) [ex.-
Firewalls, Antivirus, Adobe] Others are for default and system, as named.}
Don't Believe? Go to My Computer | click C: drive | Open Documents and
settings folder, then All users folder, then Desktop folder in All Users.
Right-click in the empty All Users\Desktop folder. Move the cursor over NEW>
click on Folder | click the white space to leave the name as New Folder. Now
look on YOUR desktop.
