4 command prompt dialog boxes on Log In

When I log to Windows 2000 I see 4 command prompt dialog
boxes flash quickly on the screen. We recently had a virus
on the computer and I am afraid this may left over from it.
I checked the registry keys HKLM/RUN and HKCU/RUN for
something strange but didn't find anything.
Is there some other place in registry to look?

Most likely the command prompt you are seeing is a result of a program
called on start up. To configure what problems open/don't open on start up
you can do a 'selective startup' http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/
That website contains the instructions for performing a selective startup
for Windows 2000
