/3GB Switch in Boot.ini

I am trying to find out more information on the /3gb
switch in the boot.ini. I have 3 servers that could
benifit from more physical memory usage. All three are
standard edition servers. I have seen conflicting
articles on Microsofts website about whether the /3gb
switch will work in Win 2K Server. One of my servers, a
sql server, has 6gb of ram...I would like to utilize as
much as possible.

You can use the /3GB switch on standard servers, but it
will actually hurt performance.

The /3GB switch works properly only on Advanced Server or
Datacenter.

I hope that SQL Server has Advanced Server on it, because
Standard can only see up to 4 GB.
