Hi all,

I have problem opening the 3389 port for RDP with a XP Pro SP2.

there is a group policy enabled for that port, but netstat shows no
listening of 3389

What else could i checked?

Issue solved, need to enable remote desktop in control panel/system/remote
and now it listen to 3389.

Check that the terminal services service is running either via services.msc
or with the net start command . Also TS can be configured to use another
port which would then not show 3389 listening/connected.
