300w or 500w power supply

I've never had a problem with anything I've ordered from Newegg over the
past 4 or 5 years. I had one bad motherboard which I had to RMA and
everything was handled quick and painlessly. I've also had good luck with
ZipZoomFly (formerly Google Gear).
 
When I was looking for cases the other day, they had 2 diferent types,
one with 300w power supply and one with 500w power supply. What are
the benefits (or disadvantages) over one or the other?

get one with no PSU unless you want a likely trash spare for fixin someone
else's comp
i like my TTGI 550W superflower with a 14CM(apx 5 1/2 inch) fan
this thing puts out more power than a "generic" 700watt
3v-35A 5v-50A 12v-30 2 fan speed and the fan stays on(very slowly) for 5
mins after power is shut off
not to mention the MUCH better efficiancy this one is(per spec) at least
74% eff
