3 PC, XP network

I have a home network that I set up using the networking diskette, so all are
in the same group and the PC names are unique. 2 of the 3 PC's can see each
other( and not the first), but the other PC can't see either, and it dosen't
show up in network neighborhood, even though I can ping the other 2 PC's in
the network. I am using Zone Alarm, but have configured all 3 machines the
same,(allowing the IP range all PC's are in) and even turned off ZA for all 3
machines to see if I can see the others without ZA running, but the results
are the same.

Any suggestions?

Bill,

The fact that some computers can "see" the others, but not all, is a browser
problem (I'm not discussing Internet Explorer).

Browser problems are frequently caused by a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, or other security component. There are several other possibilities
too, and any might be the cause of your problem.

One frequently seen problem is an inconsistently Enabled NetBT setting.

Chuck:

I forgot to mention that I can ping to / from any of the PC's in the network.

So that means that you have no problem with name resolution. Which probably
means that NetBT is consistent.

With 3 computers, you can run "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config
server", and "net config workstation", on each computer, and diagnose the
problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):
