Forgive me if this is a duplicate, but my last posting and
any responses seem to have disappeared. I'm trying to find
a way to export text from Excel and import it to Word
without losing the text characteristics (font, bold, etc.)
but still being able to edit the text in Word as if it
were Word-generated text. any suggestions?

Hi
try the following:
- copy your cells in Excel
- in Word choose 'Edit - Paste Special' and use the option 'Formated
text (RTF)' to insert your text

Thanks - I already tried that - it keeps the text
characteristics, but I then cannot edit the text like
normal text, Word still treats them like a protected object

Hi
I tried this (Office 2003) and In word a table is inserted in which I
can easily edit all text entries. What do you mean with 'protected
object'?
