Hello all,
My Windows XP Pro seems to be misreporting the size of one of my folders.
Win XP reports that my "My Music" folder contains 692 files across 11
folders. However, when I add up the number of files in each individual
folder, it only comes to 481. I'm sure I don't have 692 mp3 files. I've gone
to the "Folder Options" menu and chosen to "show all hidden files and
folders", but it doesn't reveal any other hidden files or folders.
The interesting thing is that other software, like Kazaa and McAfee Virus
Scan, also show that the "My Music" folder have 692 files in it. When I can
the folder for viruses, it reports that 692 files are scanned. When I go
onto Kazaa, it says I'm sharing 692 files, but I can't find anymore than
481. This is the only folder with an inaccurate file count. What gives? My
only theory is that there are other hidden files that contain all the data
(from when Media Player 9 finds info) on the songs. Thanks for any replies.
