2nd Post-Need an answer??? Black Screen

I have been using Remote Desktop successfully for some
time. Lately, when I connect to my desktop PC from my
laptop, I get authenticated, the screen begins to log me
in, and then remains black, no successful login. Other
PC's on the network (at home) do work as they are supposed
to, but this one PC has all of a sudden refused to
complete the process.

User account settings, associated passwords, ports, etc.
are all configured correctly (since all other machines can
work, it's not a network, port or configuration issue), so
I am stumped.

The login failure is with my account (Bob F), as when
attempting the very same thing with the Administrator
account, it works. When attempting the login with Bob F,
the login screen will vary sometimes to it's progress,
sometimes freezing at the User/Password screen, other
times bypassing that screen and then usually a black sceen
forever.

Any ideas? Nothing has really changed, but I'm open to
digging into whatever it takes (the main PC is in the
basement, and it's to darn cold down there :) )
..

OK, did ALL the things as specified in the link, no change.
Oddly, I had a clients new Dell here this week, and while
setting it up, I was able to access it via remote desktop,
but then it too has same issue, black screen. Sometimes
it'll hang on the login screen with password (filled in).
All other PC's in this home network work flawlessly, so it
ain't a black hole router issue. Any more ideas??

The problem can happen even though other machines work.. The black
hole router issue is a TCP/IP misconfiguration...
