2nd domain controller

I have a windows 2000 application server that has a login id soarworld. I
would like to dcpromo and use as 2nd domain controller while I am login in as
soarworld. The first domain controller has login id is firstdc. will this
work?
 
My suggestion is work only under the administrator account for such a action.
Make sure the admin accounts have the same password.
