2k server, NT4 client, HP8000 - can't install driver

Hello,
When trying to add the NT 4 driver to the HP 8000 on our
2000 print server, we get either an incompatible driver or
couldn't install error.
Anyone had this problem before, and know how to fix it?

Did you use the Drivers from the Windows 2000 Server CD? This CD does
also contain Drivers for NT4.0 and Win9x (see the Printers-Directory).

If this don't work, you have to get all drivers (including W2k) from
HP. Don't Mix different drivers (e.g. Laserjet 5/5MP for Win2k and
Laserjet 5 for WinNT).

In particular, note the version numbers of the "compatible" drivers. You
can download these from
