2GB Compact Flash

I have 1.5GB of databases (SQL Server 2000) that I would like to put on a
PDA. It is my intention to use a 2GB compact flash card to store the
databases on the PDA. I notice that there are two types of CF card, the
Microdrive and the solid state memory cards (these being 3 times the price
for the same memory). My question is, how well will the Compact
Framework/SQL CE cope with data on the compact flash cards and which one is
the more suitable (any recommendations on a manufacture of card also
appreciated). My concern is that an SQL CE/CF application would just be too
slow when accessing data on the CF card. Does anyone have any experience of
this?

Any advice on this is much appreciated,

Steven

It's going to be slow in either case, but the Microsdrives are quite
fragile, so if it's going to be inserted and removed save yourself cash and
headache - go solid state.
