256 Bit Color

I just had to reload Windows 2000 onto my computer. I only
have 16 bit color in my settings instead of 256 bit. How
do I get 256 bit again so my computer isn't a blurry mess.

I am unaware of any cards that support 256bit color modes. you can have 256
colors... but 32bit color (true color) is really the max that there is. The
new matrox card has 40bit color, but it is the only one that I have seen
that exceeds the normal 32bit color ceiling.

Update your vid driver with a 2k compatable version from the MFG website...
