color depth

Dear all: I am trying to connect to windows xp pro -- using a remote
desktop client -- I was wondering if there is a way to connect to with
more color options -- currently my only options are 8-bit (256 color),
15-bit, 16-bit -- is there a way I can connect with 10 or 12 bits?

Seems a strange number to me...

How about 6.2 bits? Joking of course...
