2007 Chart Templates

I am trying to set up Chart Templates for our company
I get my chart set up precisely how I want it
Save it out as a chart template
But when I go to apply it
It holds only the 1st 6 colors (we have 12 in all)
And the formatting for the 1st 3 series (i.e. a white line around the series)
Any ways I cant keep the color and formatting for all 12?

Ah, geeze.

I can repro this. What a mess.

This is a bug -- or a bad design -- in the way Chart Templates work. I don't
know that there's any way around it other than to make a sample chart for
your users and instruct them to copy it (or the slide it's on) and change
the data as appropriate.

I'll report this as a bug, although I'm sure the charting crew is already
aware of it.
