2003 Frontpage....pages and folders are missing

G

Guest

My hard drive crashed a few days ago and I reinstalled FrontPage 2003. I
copied all the files off of our webserver onto my PC. But when I open
FrontPage, it does not display all the folders (even though they are there
visible when I browse to them through Windows Explorer), and in Navigation,
it only shows the month of May...and I have done work up to the month of
September.
Is there something I'm missing or not looking at? I tried installing 2000,
then 2002, then 2003...same results for each version.
Let me know your ideas...would be greatly appreciated.

You can't "copy". You must publish the remote site back to your local pc.

To restore your files from the server to your PC, you
should File | Publish from the server to your PC.

If your host supports the Front Page Extensions, use the
FTP method of publishing. If not, use an FTP method. In
other words, however you published from your PC to the
server before your problem took place, do the same thing
except FROM the server TO the PC.

Should be HTTP, not FTP ;-)

Even when I do the "publish site" I still am missing the files and folders.
Is there a setting I'm not looking at? I go to the website and everything is
there and it looks fine...

What folders are you missing when you do a publish? Some folder are never viewable in FP.
