2000 service pack question

I have a question...I want to upgrade my friends computer
from 98 to 2000....I'm trying to install service pack 3 ?
do I need to install sp1 and sp2 before I install
SP3...?....Also I want to install SP3 on Office 2000 can
I do that without installing the previous Service
PAcks ?...Please let me know...Also ...how can I check if
the computer running windows 98 hardware will work with
windows 2000 ?.....Thank you....
