I should mention first that I lost all local backups due to a fire and I am
working on my existing website that I published from the internet to my
computer. During that process it lost the theme that was in place. I am
trying to get the folder list on the left side of the screen and a navigation
window next to it. I can only get one or the other, and I can't find a way
to resize them or have them on at the same time. I can turn the task pane on
and off - I'm not talking about that. Also, I no longer have anything show
up in navigation view. I am trying to create a navigation diagram for my
existing pages, but I can't get anything to recognize index.htm as my home
page. I have the book 'FrontPage 2003 The Missing Manual' that tells me I
can right-click on Index.htm and select SET AS HOME PAGE, but that option is
not even on the menu. Screen shots in the book show dragging and dropping
from the folder list to the navigation view - this is what I need. I
remember building the original site in navigation view. I have not had to
edit my site for over a year, so I know I am a little rusty, but FrontPage
and the way it displays stuff seems somewhat different than I remember. I am
just trying to get back up to speed and keep my site updated. Any help
greatly appreciated. Stan

If you are really using FP 2003
Open your site in FP (not just a page)
- Folder list on left
- Web Site View Tab on right
(defaults to you last view - usually Folder View)
At the bottom of Web Site Tab you will find the other Views
(including Navigation)

Right click in Folder List for the content drop down menu w/ Set as home page
(for any file w/ a valid html extension like .htm, etc)
