2 versions of Excel on PC at same time?

Can you have Excel version 5.0 and Excel 2002 on the same PC without
having conflicts? If so, is there any trick to it?

Excel 5.0 currently resides in my msoffice/excel directory whereas
Excel 2002 (along with the Microsoft Office programs) would reside in
the Programs/Microsoft Office directory, so they are located in
different directories.
 
No problem. The "trick" is to ensure that you install each version
into a different folder, so you should be ok in your suggested setup.
